    What's actually happening in Scarecrow's nightmares?

    So, I just finished Arkham Asylum for the first time since I was a kid, and the one part that always stuck out to me were the surreal Scarecrow scenes where Batman is hallucinating due to fear gas.

    Obviously, everything that takes place is in Batman's head, but I wanted to know, what is happening in the real world while Batman is tripping? Is he unconscious? If so, why doesn't Scarecrow just slice his throat?

    If he is lucid, how lucid is he? He is interacting with objects that aren't really there, and is moving through space that should just lead him into knocking into a wall.

    Plus, Batman seems to be tripping to an extent that would require him not to be awake. He is imagining elaborate scenarios that seemingly require him to be asleep while tripping.

    My idea was that maybe Batman is unconscious, but Crane, being the mad scientist and egomaniac he is, wants to see Batman die of fright instead of just killing him. Seems odd that Batman would fall into the same trap that could lead to him getting sucker punched or stabbed while asleep, but I could buy it.

    On another note, I wanted to say I really liked the fact that Batman overcomes Scarecrow's fear gas before confronting Croc, seemingly implying he has no fear left to give.

    I remember seeing something where once you beat the game on normal difficulty or harder, you unlock knightmare mode outside of ng+, or something of the sort. Has anyone been able to do this?

    So i have the disc version of the game on ps4. I want to download the free skins but cant. Its downloaded but says waiting to install. Also i cant access the store from the game. How do i get the free skins?
