Which title had your favourite boss encounter, and what made it stand out for you?

    Posted: 05 Feb 2020 10:34 PM PST

For me it's Firefly from AO. It really was a unique fight and I barely made it on hard. Deathstroke was good, but they overhyped him for his role in the game. He pretty much just shows up and gets his ass handed to him.

Why do people claim that Origins only takes place 5 years before Asylum? (Rant)

    Posted: 05 Feb 2020 11:24 PM PST

If you do some simple brain storming it's quite clear that 5 years beforehand is way too short of time for Arkham Origins to take place. Yet for some reason, I've seen this mentioned multiple times recently not only in game reviews and guides (I've been replaying the game lately) but also on this sub!

In Origins we are introduced to a pretty young Barbara Gordon. Based on her appearances, if we compare her to how she looks and handles herself in "A Matter Of Family" DLC then I would say she's probably AT LEAST 5 years younger in Arkham Origins compared to that DLC and if we go off of basic Batgirl lore Barbara became Batgirl at the age of 18. And "A Matter Of Family" takes place BEFORE Arkham Asylum and at the point Asylum takes place she's now Oracle. That would mean she magically grew up from the 14-15 year old girl we saw in Origins to be an adult having a reasonable time as Batgirl and training and was paralyzed by the Joker to retire and become Oracle. All within 5 years? Not to mention the 3 different Robins.

So that doesn't add up at all.

Also, let's just talk about Jason Todd and the 3 different Robins. There is absolutely no way that in just 5 years, Bruce trained Dick, Jason, and Tim. All at separate times mind you, since they all had a their own significant runs as Robin (significant being a couple years or more). There's no way we are supposed to believe that all happened in just 5 years. Actually less than 5 years since Tim is the Robin we see in A matter of family, which takes place prior to Asylum.

So where do people get 5 years apart from? I've also seen people say 15 years or so and that's where I stand as well. I've also seen people say 10 years and that's a lot more reasonable too. But 5 years is ridiculous, you can even Google the question and that's what you get as the top answer.

Do these people just not pay attention to details?

Which other villains could work in the new Batman game?

    Posted: 06 Feb 2020 03:12 AM PST

We all want the Court of Owls that's for sure but what other villains could work in this game? I would think Owlman could obviously and maybe Prometheus could have his time in the sun. What do you guys think?

New Batman game isn't connected to the Arkhamverse. It's a new continuity. No Arkham.

Why is the moon so huge?

    Posted: 06 Feb 2020 03:09 AM PST

Have you ever just looked at the moon in any Arkham game and wondered why it's so big? It literally looks super close.

What would you like to see in a new Batman game? I’d like to see more than one night

    Posted: 05 Feb 2020 07:55 PM PST

I know this question has been asked a million times, but I always find it interesting to see what people come up with. Hopefully in the rebooted series we can get a game with more than one night. During the day, you could do stealth/recon missions as Bruce Wayne, maybe similar to some of the stuff the Telltale series did. Perhaps even incorporate a relationship with Selina Kyle. I think adding the element of Bruce would just make one feel even more like Batman, and this way we could get the long mystery that the Court of Owls deserve. Thoughts?

A sequel to Arkham Origins idea

    Posted: 05 Feb 2020 02:23 PM PST

We still aren't sure if the next game will be a sequel or another prequel, but with that being said there is plenty of room for new games between Asylum and Origins. A game that explores Jason and Bruce's relationship after Dick goes off on his own. A game that shows how Gordon and Batmans relationship came to be as trusting as it is. They could even have another trilogy between them. That being said I think there should be a game that takes place IMMEDIATELY before Asylum. Or maybe DLC that explores it. With the game starting around 7 or 8 when it just becomes dark and time for batman to come around and do his thing. The game having more of a focus on detective work and taking down minor villains. Just a regular night for Batman really. Every single game seems to have a really dramatic story and all these epic moments. Joker shouldn't even make much of an appearance in my opinion. Just a normal night for Batman that's more focused on gameplay and fun. No riddler trophies but instead a few collectibles left by another villain like calendar man. Upon 100% completing the game it unlocks a final mission where Batman upgrades his suit to the Asylum suit, stops Joker during a robbery and the game ends with him driving him to the Asylum. I honestly just want more casual Batman adventures. The super in depth stories are great and all, but trying to top them over and over will get tiring. I just want to play a Batman game that has something closer to a quick little comic arc, like the cold cold heart DLC and the beginning of Origins before the Joker reveal.

Arkham Origins Game Disc Read Error??

    Posted: 05 Feb 2020 06:19 PM PST

    Any one know a fix?

It makes me quit the game and restart the death stroke boss battle. It always happens at the exact same second, right after the penguin cutscene following the death stroke fight, right before the saving icon appears meaning I cannot progress in the story.

Which assets do you think will be reused from the cancelled Damian game?

    Posted: 05 Feb 2020 01:12 PM PST

If I had to guess, they're reusing the bat bike, nemesis system, and maybe the map.
