Comparing old PS3 graphics to PS4 remastered graphics

My friend and I are currently completing a challenge to see who can finish all Arkham games the fastest being asylum, city and knight (I know this is what isolation has come to lol). And no we didn't include origins for this challenge because well it's not rocksteadys work :). For the challenge, I decided to play asylum and city on the PS3 again because why not, and I just realised how much better I think the graphics are on the original version when compared to the remastered.

Sure the environment looks better and the gameplay looks better on the PS4, but yet there's something about the PS3 graphics that you can't take away. The cutscenes I think look way better, and while the lighting is much brighter on the PS4 version, I just think they ruined it. With asylum, it's supposed to be a dark, scary, old gothic place and I think they hit a home run with that on the PS3. I don't know, I think after all these years I tried to convince myself I like PS4 version more, but the PS3s OG graphics, and feel of the game can't take that away from me. Plus nostalgia has a bit to do with it haha. Even with Arkham city's environment, I just feel like the games art design was just not meant to be tampered with.
