Imagine if Rocksteady made a Batman game set in the Nolanverse.

    Posted: 10 Sep 2021 02:23 PM PDT

A sleek, modern, realistic high rise city, tumbler, batpod, the mob and crime families, they could even make their own Nolanverse versions of characters. This is a useless post, I just thought I should share my greatest hope.

    Creepy gaming logic

In Arkham city when you take down the Penguin, what's left of his men are trying to figure out what's happening aswell as dealing with an army of Two Face thugs standing outside the Bowery. But over at the industrial district, the other side of town, Jokers men are already aware of Penguins defeat even tho non of Penguins men are aware of what's going on

Who should have been the real Villains of the Arkham Franchise.

    Posted: 10 Sep 2021 07:07 PM PDT

OK here me out. The real villain of the Arkahm Franchise should have been 'The Court Of Owls'.

(The Following is how I think it could have gone)

Since the first game the have been trying to cause the destruction of Gotham to rebuild it in their perfect city. However they had a snag in their plan and it wasn't Batman, the COO were more scared of Joker.

The COO were able to read Batman and knew how to defeat him but they couldn't predict Joker, so they orchestrated some of the events of Arkham Asylum to take out Joker. Doctor Young is one of their pawns and she made herself known to the Joker to get his attention, also the titan formula was used as bait to get Joker fixated on creating an army.

Also the COO pull strings to get Bane put in Arkham, they free Clayface and plant the idea of working with Joker into his mind. The COO also find Scarecrow who has been disfigured and partially eaten by Killer Croc and offer to save his life as long as he works for them. I then would keep the game narrative the same, but just before Doctor Young dies she recounts a poem to Batman hinting to the COO but Batman doesn't understand it.

I would then keep the story of Arkham City the same with just a few changes. Before the events of the game, the COO find and capture Ra's al Ghul's Lazarus pit. They say they will release the Lazarus Pit as long as Ra's is willing to be a pawn in their scheme to help rid Gotham of the Scum. Ra's agrees and the COO recommend that he use the talents of Hugo Strange to help run Arkham City. Also the COO know that Mr Freeze can make a cure to the Jokers illness, so they capture him and deliver him to Penguin as they believe the Museum is the safest place. (Not from Batman but the Joker)

The rest of the events play out similar with Joker succumbing to his disease and dying Strange dying as he failed his mission and Ra's being impaled, but before his Death Ra's says to Batman "For the worlds greatest detective you know very little" He then recounts another verse of a poem hinting at the COO. Again Batman doesn't fully understand, but now he realises that it was not Ra's who was the mastermind but someone else.

When the events of Arkham Knight roll around, the COO can finally put their plan into motion, but they need someone who can mentally manipulate their victims through fear to destroy Gotham. They need Scarecrow. Most of the events play out similar with Scarecrow capturing Barbara and Batman suffering with an illness caused by Jokers blood. But the COO still wish to remain a secret until they have captured Batman, so they create the 'Arkham Knight' moniker and have all of Batman's techniques copied and downloaded into the brain of the Arkham Knight.

The COO still play mind games with Batman having him believe that the Arkham Knight is a former Bat-Family member who has turned on him. But during a raid on an Arkham Knight hideout Batman discovers a prisoner inside a maximum security cell. The prisoner is 'Prometheus' who had his technology stolen from him and used by COO to create the Arkham Knight. At this point Prometheus just before he is about to reveal who COO is, gets assassinated by the Arkham Knight who now removes his mask to reveal the face of Politician 'Lincoln March', who tells Batman about who COO is and how they have manipulated all the events up until this point. March tells Batman that he was never a threat to COO, but Joker was so once Joker died they could finally start their plan to destroy Gotham and rebuild it in their vision.

March unleashes and horde of soldiers to distract Batman while the Cloudburst is released and March escapes, but as March is leaving he here's Batman say the following: "March baby, you thought you could kick me off the stage? I always get an encore and leave the crowd laughing." The Joker slips out of Batman's head for a split second, leaving March scared at the possibility of the Joker returning.

The rest of the game plays out similarly but when we get to the Finale Batman, Robin and Gordon are captured by both Scarecrow and March and taken to Arkham Asylum where they are surrounded by on looking COO members. March says that Batman may have prevented Gotham from being destroyed, but at least they can ruin Batman's life by forcing Gordan to reveal his identity to the world. March then says all that's left is to tie up the loose ends and he pulls his gun on Scarecrow. But unknown to March, Scarecrow had made a special type of untraceable toxin that forced whoever inhaled it to commit suicide and in doing so all proceeding COO Members are seen taking their own lives and March puts his gun to his head and pulls the trigger. Scarecrow says that he gave Batman, Robin and Gordon a special antidote when the COO thought he was injecting them with fear toxin. This is because Scarecrow claims 'I am no-ones Pawn' and that he wants to kill the three men himself.

The game finishes in roughly a similar fashion (Joker dream and all) but Batman is freed from his captivity by Harley Quinn who still believes Batman will turn into Joker and who is disappointed when it doesn't happen. With Batman's identity revealed he activates the 'Knightfall' protocol and is assumed dead.

So that's how I would have written the game and had the COO be the big villains, if anyone has any ideas feel free to discuss them.

    A hypothetical question

    Posted: 11 Sep 2021 03:19 AM PDT

I lost interest in Batman for a while, but I've just watched the trailer for the next movie, and it's gotten me excited.

It's also made me wonder...has Rocksteady's support for the Arkham games ended? I know that they're currently working on other projects, but could they add the new suit to Arkham Knight? I really like the look, and I'd love to use it when I finally play the game. Seeing as they've put in a lot of outfits into the game, including a few from really obscure storylines...would it be too much to expect them to add this one too? I'm asking because it's already been...six years, I think. How long has it been?
