Batman: Arkham City is Set in the 1990s Posted: 14 May 2020 05:45 AM PDT I noticed this while solving the Riddle in the Bowery "Was the writing on the wall from the moment you entered?", and on the plaque that you find to solve the riddle, it reads the opening date of the Arkham City facility: "November 19th, 1***". The rest of the numbers are chipped away because the plaque's been damaged or something, but the year number starts with a 1. This leads me to believe that the game can likely take place somewhere in the 1990s, as anytime before that makes the crazy gadgets and tech used in the game seem too out of place, even for the billion dollar Wayne company, and the Joker says stuff about posting on internet in the game (the internet was made available to the public in 1991). It also can't ne anytime after as the game's events happens only weeks or a month after the Arkham City facility opens up for business. I like to think that it's set somewhere between 1992 - 1995, as that was the runtime of Batman: The Animated Series, and since Kevin Conroy and Mark Hamill voice Batman and the Joker respectively in both TAS and AC, it's cool to think that the Arkham games are a weirdly dark "spin-off" universe from TAS. But that's just a theory... A GAME THEORY Edit: people in the comments have reminded me of some other things in the game that support my theory like the 1950s style cars in Arkham Knight and the old CRT TVs from the late 1980s - early 1990s Also, this is just a theory and my way of interpreting the game. You don't have to believe it or get offended by it. Here is a link to the in-game plaque of Arkham City's opening date: [https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GbVLr7KaKoM](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GbVLr7KaKoM [link] [comments]
If you think about it, it’s amazing we have 4 awesome Batman games at all. Posted: 14 May 2020 02:40 PM PDT I can't wait for what's next just like the next guy, but during my recent playthrough of the Arkham Trilogy I got to thinking about how amazing it is that these games exist in the capacity that they exist in. We got: 1) Awesome stories written by Paul Dini of animated series fame 2) Kevin Conroy, Mark Hamill, and Arleen Sorkin 3) Beautiful designs that fit between the animated series and Tim Burton's Batman 4) Gameplay that perfectly fits the Batman fantasy 5) Delightful side stories that are a dream come true for any Batman fan Seriously, if you had told me 15 years ago that there would be 4 Batman games of this caliber I would have asked to be frozen Nora Fries style until they were out. I'm just happy we have what we have and can't wait for what's next! [link] [comments]
Posted: 15 May 2020 01:23 AM PDT This is honestly one of my favorite bat-suits and with the newest Thomas Wayne skin that was released recently then I can't see the harm in asking for another suit. [link] [comments]

Why on Earth did the firefighter chief get put in the in the maximum security cell? Posted: 15 May 2020 12:45 AM PDT Yet the officer who killed people at the diner got his own little cell and was later released I know it wasn't the officers fault but still. Idk why but I felt really bad locking him up with freaking people like death stroke and pyg. [link] [comments]

Posted: 14 May 2020 09:55 PM PDT I just bought Batman: Arkham Collection last week and didn't play it yet. I also ordered Arkham origins but I don't know which one to play first. Is there a specific order I play them in? [link] [comments]

I can't stop thinking about this theory Posted: 14 May 2020 08:16 AM PDT What if Jason Todd was right there in Arkham Asylum during the events of Batman: Arkham Asylum? I saw a video the other day that put forth this theory and i just can't stop thinking about it. The fact that Jason was right there, under our noses, tortured by that maniac for more than a year. Batman could've saved us, he could've prevented the creation of The Arkham Knight. It's so dark that Jason Todd was right there but we were so preoccupied, that we couldn't save him. It just makes me feel worse about Jason. I'm sorry Jason. I'm sorry. [link] [comments]

Posted: 14 May 2020 07:08 PM PDT I heard a lot of negative feedback on that game and never played it, and now after replaying Asylum, City and Knight i'm looking for some else to play Arkham related [link] [comments]
GHOST of Tsushima is so much like Batman. Its a must get for all arkham fan. Posted: 14 May 2020 01:25 PM PDT The combat is so bad ass you will think it's a Batman game. [link] [comments]
Posted: 14 May 2020 07:31 AM PDT So since WB responded and told us to stay tuned, I'm feeling much better. I guess passion and internet hashtags do work. [link] [comments]
Posted: 14 May 2020 04:54 AM PDT You need 344k of data to save your progress in Batman Arkham City. The Commodore VIC-20 had 4k of storage from the factory. You would need 86 VIC-20s worth of storage to save your progress once. [link] [comments]
Favorite original arkham character? Posted: 14 May 2020 02:44 PM PDT I mean like rocksteady-created characters, ex: Aaron Cash, the joker infected, Boles and the arkham guards, etc. I wouldn't quite call the arkham knight an "original character" but🤷🏻♂️ [link] [comments]
