Got to love when you go back to a game and you love it just as much if not more years later. Batman: Arkham City is one of my all time favorite stories told for Batman. Playing it now and remembering the timelessness of it. What is your favorite Batman story?

Quarantines driving me a bit mad

    Posted: 22 Mar 2020 04:35 AM PDT

So, I recently got Return to Arkham for PS4, and I've set out to do something I never do, get the platinum for both Asylum and City... Just finished Asylum today, took me around 3 straight days of playing, challenge maps got a bit taxing towards the end, but to be fair once the combat ones were done the stealth ones were a cakewalk... Now, I'm about to start City, and it's all come flooding back to me that there are hundreds more riddler trophies etc... And the challenge maps are PLENTIFUL... Can any of you Arkham lovers tell me how long this is actually gonna take? Am I as mad as the Joker himself? Tl;dr gonna platinum Arkham City, wanna know if it's gonna cost me my sanity

Replayed Arkham Knight countless times and never knew that if you open the mission wheel during the Panessa Studios chapter, it shows a picture of Harley Quinn instead of Scarecrow.

Question: What’s a thug quote in an Arkham game that has stuck with you? This might seem a bit weird but me and my friends always quote this line. It’s not even that funny but we make it funny.

Why I'm glad the new game is a reboot

    Posted: 21 Mar 2020 06:45 PM PDT

Don't get me wrong, I love the Arkham series and all 4 of the games but I'm really glad that WB Montreal decided to do a brand new universe and not continue the Arkhamverse.

The Arkham formula was great. But if they came out with just another Arkham game with the same formula then I feel like it wouldn't be that good. The formula needs necessary changes. Like getting rid of the one night story set up or getting rid of the evacuated city set up. If they made a new Arkham game and changed stuff like that, then it wouldn't really be Arkham anymore. It'd feel out of place in the series.

The Arkham games are all great games but they never gave us the full fledged Batman experience. Like being in a populated big Gotham City where we can play as Bruce or Batman and the story takes place over day's/months with additions like being able to stop random crimes.

I feel like the new Batman game will be able to give us the full fledged Batman feel that makes us feel like we're in the Animated Series or in the movies. I also feel that making a new universe instead of a new Arkham game prevents continuity errors and timeline errors from messing up the Arkham story.

My final point is that the Arkham series was a story about Batman and Joker. That's why every game featured Joker as the big bad. But having a new universe and game that isn't Arkham, means that we can finally stop having The Joker as the main villain since it's not apart of the Arkham story.

With a reboot and new universe, WB Montreal can give us their own version of Batman and who knows, they might make a Batman game that blows the Arkham series out of the water. They might be able to pull a God of War with Batman.
