I just realised this cutscene has a reference to the animated series episode 'Over The Edge' where Scarecrow also makes Barbara Gordon fall off a building.

Appreciation post for the GCPD dialogue in Arkham Knight

    Posted: 15 Mar 2020 08:54 PM PDT

I have replayed Arkham Knight and have decided to use my new run to try out new things and see just how much content the game actually has.

As part of this I have been going back to the GCPD in-between missions to talk to the people there (since their dialogue changes depending where on the story you are).

There are some nice small things like seeing a cop fall in love with Poison Ivy, the recovery of officer Owens (who you play with at the beginning of the game), and hearing Jack Ryder's story develop as the game goes on.

But my favourite thing of all this is the little talk of the cops, you can see that they're all different and have different views on the takeover. Some cops are incredibly stressed and some others are really relaxed, some talk about getting "revenge" on the prisoners for all the people they've killed and others even go so far as saying that they wished Protocol 10 had killed the Arkham inmates.

But my favourite part of the dialogue is hearing them react to the takeover, when I was younger I lived through a pretty nasty earthquake that screwed everyone over, and I the way the cops talk in the GCPD really felt like the way my family talked during that event.

So yeah, really nice detail they added that isn't really seen by many.

The Greg Capullo version of the New 52 batsuit would’ve looked so fantastic in Arkham Origins and Arkham Knight. It better be in the next Arkham game.

I just realised something about Arkham Asylum. Since Scarecrow's lair is right next to the elevator shaft, that means Batman unknowingly goes right past him at the beginning of the game while escorting Joker.

    Favorite Arkham comics?

    Posted: 15 Mar 2020 07:41 PM PDT

I am currently replaying all the Arkham games(my favorite game series hands down). I am also rereading some classic Batman comics, and that got me thinking about the Arkham tie-in comics. There are actually lots of those . So I was wondering, what is your favorite of the Arkham comics?

Between Unhinged, the Road to Arkham Asylum issue, the Arkham City mini-series, Endgame, the Arkham Knight prequel series, Arkham Knight genesis, the Harley Quinn and Batgirl one-shots(and maybe others I missed), what are your favorite and least favorite tie-in comics?

Personally, I think the Arkham City mini-series had a lot going for it, and it fleshed out Hugo Strange more than in the game itself. Genesis also allowed us to spend more time with Jason, which was nice, and actually witnessing Jason's torture was one of the best moments in the entire franchise.
