I guess it wasn’t anything too big then. I was with y’all thinking the red would point to something such as, maybe The City.

    Thoughts on City’s story

    Posted: 13 Jan 2020 11:08 PM PST

I beat AC for the second time today. I still think the writing is bad but I've noticed some things.

You play as Batman and Catwoman. Batman has two love interest, Slina and Talia. Freeze made two antidote. Both Ra and Joker use someone else as cover. Batman meet both the real Joker and Ra but didn't know their scheme. Two face's painting from beginning foreshadows Joker's death.

All this made me think there's a conscious decision when writing it and if it had more polish it might of been good.

My favorite line: "Good? People are DYING!"

About the "hidden map" and "countdown script"

    Posted: 13 Jan 2020 02:27 PM PST

    Hello everyone!

I'm sure everyone here knows about the dial image and the redacted webpage. During the past few days many of us tried to find some deeper meaning in them, and many of you posted your findings here and on the Asylum server too. Unfortunately most of these are false finds, so I want to clear things up once for all.

    dial.png:

    • As the extension suggests, the file is a PNG image. PNG images are rasterized, therefore they can't have any "hidden" layers.
    • The circles, which are probably meant to be placeholders for symbols don't share the same fill color like the rest of the image. The base background is of course black, but these circles are filled with the color #060102. This difference causes them to "light up" when you increase the brightness of the image.
    • There is no hidden map or anything in these circles. You only see those because of artifacting. (this was pointed out by some of us before)

    the redacted page:

Someone tweeted there's a timer on the website, which changes the image. This person also stated if we crack the code, we might get a hint about the next logo reveal. The only script — which people tried to mindlessly reverse enginner — running on frontend is for Google Analytics, and of course it's untouched code from Google that has nothing to do with modifying the image.

A short explanation about this script: "The global site tag (gtag.js) is a JavaScript tagging framework and API that allows you to send event data to Google Analytics, Google Ads, and Google Marketing Platform. This page describes how to use gtag.js to configure a site for Google Analytics. For general (i.e. non-product specific) gtag.js documentation, read the gtag.js developer guide."

The script itself can be found here (this one's for the redacted page): https://www.googletagmanager.com/gtag/js?id=UA-148133242-1

As you can see it's from an outside source, meaning it's not from the wbgamesmontreal site. The "id=UA-148133242-1" part is the identifier for the wbgames page, but if you remove it you can see the default script: https://www.googletagmanager.com/gtag/jsThis is the script that everyone gets. Only your id is modified.Just to make sure I put them into a diff checker for you here: https://www.diffchecker.com/QPI1YtnVAs you can see the only modification is on line 50, and it's the id part.

The League of Assassins, the GCPD...what else?

    Posted: 13 Jan 2020 08:41 PM PST

So it seems like WBM's new game is centered around a number of organizations in the Batman lore. The symbols we have so far appear to represent the league of assassins and the Gotham police/something government...but we still have 4 left to come. What else do we think the remaining symbols include?

The most obvious guess is the Court of Owls as one, but then that's still 3 more. And I'm drawing a blank...The mob? The rogues' gangs? I feel like more gang wars might be a bit repetitive...

Edit: maybe Team 7? Team 7 got namedropped in AK and they confirmed Black Canary as a member. Maybe they could introduce her that way?

The issue of The Joker antagonist in every Arkham game.

    Posted: 13 Jan 2020 07:14 PM PST

I was wondering what the community feels as a whole. I see that alot of people want a main antagonist that's not the Joker.

I for one think that its incredibly difficult to tell a gripping Batman story without The Joker due to the fact that they're two sides of the same coin and there's really not a villian that can get under Batmans skin like the Joker can.

what are your thoughts? What other villians could be compelling enough to center a whole game around?

also im on mobile so if the text is fucked up thats why.
