    Origins Side Missions > City Side Missions

    Disclaimer: I agree that Knight stomps both these games when it comes to side missions

    I often hear people saying that City has better side missions than Origins. That's actually BS. Let's compare:

    City -Riddler: kinda cool but trophies were a pain.

    -Zsasz: Excellent side mission. No argument there. -Hush: Loved this one too.

    -Azrael: Interesting side mission but not much to offer in terms of gameplay

    -Deadshot: Fun mission but there was no satisfying boss fight.

    -Nora Fries: This was a mediocre mission. It wasn't too bad but nothing fun.

    -Bane: Probably the worst side mission in the entire series. Destroy some canisters and then trap Bane in a Cage with one move. That sucked.

    Penguin armory: Nothing special

    Origins -Anarky: This was a great mission and the twist at the end was surprising. I also empathized a lot with this character since he was the only one we fought who was trying to do good.

    -Deadshot: Involves a cool investigation and an okay boss fight in the form of a predator map. It is definitely better than the Two Face and Harley Quinn versions in City. At least this Deadshot put up more of a fight than the one in City.

    -Mad Hatter: This one serves as a nice callback to the Scarecrow nightmares in Asylum. It was treated more of a puzzle than a boss fight though which I really enjoyed.

    -Bird: I was happy to see this character appear in Origins. I also loved joining the massive gang fights and defeating 25+ thugs each fight.

    -Shiva: Interesting character with nice hostage scenarios

    -Black Mask: Yes, this is a copy-paste of the Bane side mission in City. However, unlike the Bane mission, we at least get to beat up Black Mask in a fair fight and turn him in. Bane had no excuse to be defeated that easily.

    -The Case Investigations: The small stories behind these are really well done. It's so cool how the events are recreated by Batman using detective technology.

    -Riddler: Annoying extortion packs and no payoff

    -Penguin mission: Nothing too special

    -Prisoner mission: boring and a waste of mission potential

    Conclusion City had Zsasz and Hush as perfect side missions. It had Deadshot and Azrael as good missions. It had Nora Fries, penguin, and riddler as okay missions. It had Bane as a shitty mission.

    Origins had Anarky, Mad Hatter, Case investigations and Bird as perfect missions It had desdshot and Shiva as good missions. It had black mask and penguin as an okay mission. It had riddler and prisoner tracking as shitty missions.

    Overall, Origins wins
