How Much Is The Batman: Arkham Franchise Worth? Posted: 22 May 2020 05:42 AM PDT TL; DR: The total revenue generated by the franchise, excluding mobile titles, tie-in comics, and merchandise, is roughly $2.5 billion, and the money earned by the devs is probably around $300 million. Full text: Batman: Arkham Asylum sold 9.5 million copies, Batman: Arkham City 14 million, Batman: Arkham Origins 6.9 million (since it sold half of what City did), Batman: Arkham Knight 6.2 million, and Batman: Return to Arkham 0.71 million copies. I can not find info on how well Arkham Origins Blackgate sold, but let us assume that it sold less than Return to Arkham and choose an arbitrary number, say, 0.5 million. Therefore, the total physical copies the franchise has sold = 9.5 + 14 + 6.9 + 6.2 + 0.71 + 0.5 = 37.81 million copies. Since these stats are old, more people may have bought the games, so let me increase the total sales by, say, 10%, so the Arkham series sold 41.6 million copies in total. Games start at $60 upon release, and get cheaper later. Assuming that each of the 41.6 M copies were sold at $60, the total revenue the series generated is 2.5 billion dollars. Let me go off a tangent and compare this to other franchises: GTA V alone has sold more than 3 times that of the Arkham series, Minecraft 4.8 times, and the Pokémon franchise 8.2 times. Coming back to the franchise's worth, if Rocksteady or WB Montréal make $7 from each physical copy of a $60 game, the devs received a total of $ 291 million. Someone from r/theydidthemath, please correct me. Edit: Just changed some minor grammatical mistakes. [link] [comments]

Is anybody else having this problem ? [link] [comments]
Posted: 21 May 2020 01:57 PM PDT I know this will never happen and is not even on the table but... I was just thinking about the possibility of a redhood game recently past the events of Arkham knight. After saving batman from scarecrow, Jason Todd realises he still looks up to Bruce but knows staying wouldn't be the best option since he knows it's too difficult to put past their problems. His only option is to get as far away as possible from Gotham. Before batman initiates the knightfall protocol, he leaves the bat family with the task of doing everything they can to get Jason back on their side. While Barbara and Dick are with this plan, Tim isn't so enthusiastic and feels as thought Jason needs to face justice. Jason has to find a way to escape Gotham and possibly America within the night and has to face mobsters, assassin's and former foes who want him on their side now that batman is gone. He also needs to steal some of their weapons. Towards the middle of the game Jason makes it clear to the bat family he doesn't need them and leaves with the hopes of starting fresh in Alaska. Five year pass and Gotham is way worse. Dick unfortunately dies to the hands of penguin and two face. In response to this Jason is offered a chance to repair Gotham and clean it up his way by whatever is remaining of the league of assassins (who end up being the main villains). Once you return to Gotham the world is yours. Jason kills off the scum of the city and begins to gain some notoriety. Tim and Barbara find out Jason's returned, and Tim makes it his mission to kill Jason for not being their for Dick when he was there for him. The pair eventually meet up after Jason is just about to gun down two face. A fight breaks out but Tim wins and imprisons Jason at the bat cave. Jason escapes but realises the league of assassins tricked him. Jason convinces Tim and Barbara to help him wipe out what's left of the league of assassins. This might be really long and a shit concept but I feel like there is potential if this were made into an adult rated game. [link] [comments]
Posted: 21 May 2020 01:18 PM PDT Note: Not mine, its from a youtube comment. . At the start of the game, Jason is currently kidnapped, then brainwashed to think Batman is his only enemy by Joker. Once Joker breaks out, he immediately goes to Jason, and beats him. Jason, now in the wheelchair, is brought into the Arkham Mansion, stuck in Amadeus Arkham's cell. He is stuck there for a while, when Joker wheels him to the Medical Facility, trying to avoid Batman. Once Batman enters the mourge, Jason is brought behind the supposedly "blocked" door. The thing blocking the door is, in fact, Jason. After escaping Scarecrow's nightmare world, Batman exits the mourge. Jason is then moved to another area in the facility, where Joker then gives Batman a hint that Jason is on the island. He writes "J.P.T. is one you want!". Jason's full name is Jason Peter Todd. When Batman enters the Arkham Mansion, Jason is back in Amadeus Arkham's cell. Jason is beat again, and his wheelchair is left there. Joker takes Jason to the Penitentiary, where he is held until Batman leaves the Arkham Mansion, when Joker takes Jason back to the Arkham Mansion, where he locks Jason up. Jason stays in the cell until Joker's party. During the events of the final boss, Ra's Al Ghul escapes from his body bag, takes Jason to the League of Assassins' H.Q, and helps him. Ra's belives the Lazarus Pit will kill Jason, so he tends to Jason's wounds as someone like you or I would. After the events of Arkham Asylum, Jason trains in Venezuela to become the Arkham Knight. His Militia consists of former League of Assassins members and Santa Prisca Prison convicts. He trains his Militia through the events of Arkham City. When Arkham Knight takes place, Jason and his Militia set off to take down Batman. Then, the events of Arkham Knight. The End [link] [comments]

Posted: 21 May 2020 06:29 AM PDT I know that many people on this subreddit have Arkham Asylum on Epic Games since it was free last September. I created a mod that adds the Mac/PS3 exclusive DLC to Epic Games. Here's the link: https://www.nexusmods.com/batmanarkhamasylum/mods/26 [link] [comments]

Posted: 21 May 2020 04:07 AM PDT (Spoilers even though we're talking about a five year old game) Hi there, this is just a stupid throwaway train of thought, but I went back and played through all the Arkham games again in these past couple months, and I was just thinking... At the end of Arkham Knight, as we all know, Batman is unmasked and publicly revealed to be Bruce Wayne. Because of this, Bruce activates the Knightfall protocol and goes into hiding. But we literally have Thomas Eliot, IDENTICAL to Bruce, sitting in a cell at Wayne Tower and no one knows about it besides Bruce, Lucius, and I guess Alfred. I feel like there's SOME way Bruce could spin it so that Thomas Eliot stole his identity and was Batman the whole time. That'd be nuts. [link] [comments]
Has anyone noticed that the graphical quality of Arkham City on PS4 Pro is pretty meh? Posted: 21 May 2020 08:30 AM PDT I haven't played the return to Arkham set on the current gen consoles yet (I played them on last gen) and I just completed Asylum and I thought the quality there was pretty good but City seems pretty bad. The anti aliasing and the resolution in certain areas of the game are really low. The PS4 standard and certainly the Pro should be capable of playing these games native 1080p at 60fps. Or at least 1440p at 30fps On the Pro. I'm just kinda surprised that the quality here is pretty lackluster. Still i am enjoying replying these games but I would have loved more care and optimization.
